How we collect, handle and save data.
Fluens bvba develops software for non-profits, SMEs and governments. We at Fluens care deeply about good protection of personal data and we respect your privacy.
In this document we explain how we deal with personal data. Fluens follows the relevant legislation on data protection and privacy, including the European General Data Protection Regulation (AVG, also known under the English acronym GDPR). If you still have questions about how we process data, you can reach us via email@example.com. Our physical address is: Naamsestraat 3, 3000 Leuven.
Fluens collects personal data for the following purposes:
If you agree, we collect personal data to better understand how people use our website. This way we can improve the user experience. We use Google Analytics. We only do this if you have checked that you agree to the use of 'analytical cookies'.
On our website you will find a direct messaging integration. With that you can easily contact us by immediately starting chatting. For this we use Drift. It is also possible to send us an email. This interaction is done via Mailgun. That is an application that allows you to send emails.
Fluens receives and stores information from your browser or smartphone when you visit the website (www.fluens.be), such as your IP address and which browser you use. This data is collected with the help of Google Analytics, if you have given permission for this by indicating 'Analytical cookies'. The information can be combined with other data collected about you. This data is deleted and expires after 26 months.
Depending on the method you use, we will keep some information to help you properly. If you send us an email, we store your name and email address, for example. In our real-time chat function we do the same, and we also store some information about your browser.
A cookie is a small piece of text that websites give to your browser. This allows us to discover whether you have been to a website before. For example, we can remember that you prefer to read the site in Dutch. This is covered by 'functional cookies': cookies that are necessary for a website to work. We also use analytical cookies: they allow us to see how you have visited the website. This is not strictly necessary, but it is useful for us to discover whether our website is well-organized for visitors.
